Our family is in the very first phase of our grief with the tragic and sudden loss of my brother Jesse F. Valdez. The news of Jesse's death is so shocking, overwhelming, and devastating, and is taking us time to process. As I have been alerting our family and friends of this tragedy, several people have continued to ask me "Do you have a GoFundMe that we can share?". I initially hesitated on creating one, as we are more of the bashful type, however, with so many asking and eager to help our family due to the nature of our tragic loss, I have gone ahead to set up this GoFundMe account in memory of my brother Jesse Valdez.

Thank you all for your understanding of our request for privacy as we grieve and particularly as it is an ongoing investigation. We appreciate it more than words can express. We are super thankful to all who have helped us along the way, all the support, care and concern, from a mutual friend/missing person's advocate to all who shared the social media posts that Jesse was missing, along with our close family, friends and advocate who set out on foot to search for Jesse, the SD Sheriff/IB substation and CVPD for working tirelessly on the current investigation.
