Jesse Mowery's medical conundrum

Hi my name is Jesse, and I'm raising money to cover my medical expenses and money lost due to being unable to work.

I have been dealing with sciatica on and off for 6 years, and had a flare up this January that has resulted in loss of feeling in my left foot and other parts of my leg. Through medication and physical therapy I was able to get back to work fairly quickly, and since I finally had health insurance for the first time in my adult life, I started the process to try and fully heal my problems. MRI results showed I have 2 herniated discs in my back, which have caused the pinching of my sciatic nerve down my left leg.

In May I got an epidural steroid injection, and was feeling pretty okay for the rest of the month and early June. In the latter half of June the effects wore off, and it became harder and more painful to move around. On June 24th while I was at work the pain became so bad I had to leave early, and by the next morning I could barely make it out of bed. Since then I have only made it out of the house once so I could see a doctor, and that itself was a struggle to bare with. I have another epidural injection scheduled for early August, and if that doesn't do the trick, I'll have to get surgery. In the meantime I'm slowly regaining my ability to walk around, but still seem a couple of weeks away from being able to work.

My work offers disability pay, but only after 10 unpaid days of absence and at half the rate of my normal pay, so I would only end up getting paid for the equivalent of three 4 hour shifts. Thus I am asking for help covering my medical and living expenses.

I'll be using any expenses from this for medical procedures, rent and bills. I am the primary breadwinner in my household, as my wife has a chronic disability and can't work more than 2-3 shifts per week, so this whole process has made both of our lives more difficult and stressful.

I know times are rough for most people monetarily, but if you can even donate a little bit it will help me in the long run. I just want to get back to work and to be able to make music again as soon as possible without being in pain or crippling medical debt.
