Jessica Haines Fights Cancer!!

Donation protected
My good friend and coworker Jess Haines has been struggling for several months now with various medical problems...  After many different prognosis' (each one with their own emotional and bodily toll), they have narrowed it down to a very rare form of uterine cancer.  There are only 100 known cases of this type.  Jess is only in her early 30s so they were not looking for cancer as the problem at all, let alone something this rare.  It has been a very emotional journey for her and her family and unfortunately there were many sleepless nights, tears, tests and doctor visits to come to this prognosis.

Jess has the most beautiful family.  She will be celebrating her 2nd anniversary soon with her husband Cameron.  Her adorable son, Maverick, has just turned one.  If you see their pictures on Facebook, all three of them have the best personalities and are just so adorable and full of love.  Jess is the strongest person I know and is always the first one to volunteer to help anyone in need.  She always goes above and beyond both in her personal and work life.   As much as she does and keeps in touch with others, she is a very private person herself.  She never and I mean NEVER asks people for help and I know if she knew I was writing this now she would not allow it.

When a loved one is struggling medically it is so tough for them and for those around them.  You feel so powerless and that there's nothing you can do to help.  There is no fix that a normal person can help with.   Jess recieved a call today from the doctor's office and they wanted her to write a check tomorrow for over $1000 before they would perform a test to confirm her diagnosis.  This is just one test.  And they wanted the money before they would even perform it!!  I thought this is what we pay so much for health insurance for!  I understand that we all have to pay our portion and that there is some expense to the person being treated but believe me, she has paid alot already and never said a word to anyone.  To have to worry about money when you are worrying about if you will be there to see your son grow is just not right.  To be making the decision to have the test done and it not be helpful versus keeping the money in the bank in case your baby son needs it is just not right.

Every time someone asks Jess how they can help her answer is pray that my son will not be affected by this and that I will be here healthy to see him grow up.

Prayer is a powerful tool and one we have been using alot.  Please keep this family in your prayers.

In an effort to also do something concrete to help, I am asking for monetary help for Jess' family.  If you've had medical issues you know that the cost of the test is only the beginning.  Loved ones take off work to be with you.  Doctors visits are never ending.  There end up being multiple accounts with multiple offices or within and office.  And the list goes on and on.

Thank you for taking the time to read this about my friends Jess, Cameron and Maverick.  Please share this with others that know Jess that I may not have reached.
