*The funds raised will be used to help Jessica and her family through this time of medical expenses and time out of work for Aaron.**

January 29 UPDATE:
Jess is home for now…there is a lot ahead of us but they needed her bed in the ICU and there was no bed available in a step down unit. We are not sure how long she will be home as she will have to undergo multiple tests and potential surgeries. For now please know she is very overwhelmed by people, noises and everything she usually loves from life. The next steps for this week are neurological appointments, cardiac appointments and figuring out how big the hole in her heart is and preventing another stroke because it could essentially happen any day. Please continue to pray as Jess and Aaron navigate their kids, finances, appointments and just life in general.

From Jess- “thank you so much for the outpouring of love from so many friends and family members. I think the shock is still here but what I have realized the amount of people that have loved on my family is even more of a shock. Thank you for just being here for us. I also know there is a reason for this. God is still good, he loves me, he is protecting me and he is still here. I have not been abandon. I struggled to see that and I am so thankful for my friends who helped me see the truth.”

January 28:
Now that my family is aware I think it’s easier to just post here for updates.

Monday January 22 I went in for a colonoscopy and endoscopy- it was a screening for colon cancer and a few other things. Yes, they thought I had cancer…the procedure went well and praise the lord all the biopsies and screenings were clear! No cancer! I got home that evening and was just tired

Tuesday- I woke up and my stomach was hurting which was normal but I didn’t think much of it.

Wednesday- I started hurting more and more and started getting sick on my stomach and throwing up. The pain got so severe I decided to get help with haddie and the kids and drove myself to the ER. I got there and waiting for 15 minutes and by then the pain was so intense and I stared throwing up uncontrollably…I ended up passing out and falling out of the wheelchair and potentially hitting my head. (The nurse team says I didn’t hit my head but I have a very vivid memory of hitting it) when I woke up I couldn’t speak…by the time Aaron got there I was just starting into space with no words. I learned my blood pressure dropped to the 70s/40s they cut my shirt off and were prepared to call a code. Hours went by and my speech starting coming back and they eventually sent us home. The belly pain was not resolved but they gave me something to try and it made the pain way worst.

Thursday- actually was up and about the pain was coming and going but something was off.

Friday- was tinslees birthday Aaron took the kids to school and I even woke up him to take them. I texted my neighbor and mom and godmom and told them I didn’t feel right. My neighbor came down a few minutes later and I was out of it and woke up and couldn’t speak again. She called 911- I was transported to the hospital, thankfully a friend who is also a patient advocate was there and assisted my godmom in getting me settled, lots of things happened but they thought I had a stroke- I had a consult with the neurologist and he said because of the the timeframe there was 10 minutes to get a medicine in my body called TKN thankfully Aaron chose to do it. I had the medicine and 30 minutes later I had my speech coming back but I still couldn’t use the left side of my body. I ended up being transported by CCU to presbyterian in downtown Charlotte and I am currently in the ICU

I found out I have had a small stroke…I’m 35 extremely healthy and I’ve had a stroke. None of it makes sense to me. I have went over every detail. We are in shock to say the least. My kids miss mom and I miss my kids. Aaron is so strong and has been handling it all. My mom came home from Florida Friday after helping my grandparents. My godmom has been extremely instrumental in helping save my life and my sweet neighbor has selflessly watched my kids and helped.

I don’t have answers, I don’t know where we go from here I am just waiting.

My farm is ok- I have flower friends helping and all the orders will be fulfilled so please know your orders and everything with the farm is fine!

We have a meal train set up. We are about an hour from the hospital and thankfully we have help with the kids.

Right now we just need prayer for answers and protection over us further. I won’t be answering messages or calls and Aaron is overwhelmed too so please just pray and understand if you don’t get a response we are just trying to help our kiddos understand all of this. Regardless we know God is still here and loves us and is in control!
