Jessica Cosman Memorial Scholarship

The Jessica Cosman Memorial Scholarship Fund is in memory of Jessica Cosman, a Grafton High School graduate of the class of 2012. She attended Boston University and graduated magna cum laude in 2016 with a major in biochemistry and molecular biology.  She worked for Relay Therapeutics as a research associate, where she helped discover new proteins, focusing on biochemistry and biophysics.

Jessica was an exceptional person in every meaning of the term. She worked at a graduate level after obtaining her Bachelors. Her academic achievements astounded everyone who knew her, including renowned professors at Boston University. Her quick wit and sense of humor enchanted everyone who had the opportunity to be close to her. 

She lost her life on the evening of January 7th, 2017 walking home when a car lost control during a snow storm. This scholarship fund is aimed to assist students like her who wish to pursue a higher education in the life sciences. It searches for exceptional students with a passion for the sciences, regardless of extracurricular involvement. Jessica never sought recognition for her achievements and we seek another student who also is confident in their convictions.
