Jessica Crushes Cancer
Donation protected
My sister, and best friend of 35 years, has discovered that this year will be one of the most challenging she’s yet to face.
Jessica discovered that she had breast cancer after a routine check up. Thankfully, they were able to remove it with a minimally invasive surgery. Learning that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes was discouraging and she quickly realized that chemotherapy was in her future. After making the choice to proceed with chemo in hopes of putting this all behind her, her pretreatment CT scan showed a mass in her lung lymph nodes. Chemo was put on hold and another diagnostic procedure was performed. The procedure showed a different kind of cancer growing within her lung tissue.
Jessica is going to be facing a long summer with a potential lung resection, further diagnostic testing and ending with a chemotherapy regimen. Jessica recently received her degree and was extremely excited to begin special education student teaching in the fall. While she still has these dreams, she will be unable to work intermittently and without an income during the summer months.
Any assistance is helpful, all funds will go towards helping support Jessica and her family as she works hard to CRUSH cancer.
