No one ever expects something so tragic to happen to your family. On Monday, June 27th, my brother & sister-in-law’s life changed forever. Jessica told AJ she was going to the store and no more than 20 seconds later, he heard a car wreck. He said he looked out the window and saw that it was her. Jessica was hit by an intoxicated driver. She has suffered a RT humerus fracture which needs to have a plate placed, bilaterally bruised lungs, broken ribs #6-12 bilaterally, gallbladder and RT kidney have both been removed, her liver lacerated at a 3. The left kidney not currently functioning, they have her on a CRRT Machine. She has had bilateral lower extremities amputated. She is having a a pin placed on the LT Femur due to a fracture, a lower back T12 fracture. Pelvis fractured. She also developed a pulmonary embolism, which they have her on medication for now. The only thing that was not injured on Jessica is her brain. They have a total 7 children, and 4 of together and those 4 are still home with them. Currently her kidney that is left is not working the way we want it to but with all the prayers we have been getting, all we can do is lift them up. Jessica is a strong woman and a fighter. She has been taken into the operating room every day since she has been in San Antonio. Please help with any donation you can, anything will help for medical expenses, remodeling the home, and anything else that may come up. Please keep our family in your prayers. These Babies need to know that there is someone watching over them.
