Jessica Jefferies Journey

I am a Lupus Warrior. I was diagnosed with Lupus anticoagulant and it causes blood clots. I worked on my job for 10+ years and last year I had to leave my job and move back home with my mom because my health was declining. I haven’t had any income, my mom and brothers has been my support group since then. I went to the doctor several times about my foot being told that it was nerve pain. Until one day I went to the doctor because I thought I had the flu and mentioned about my foot again. The doctor’s at Atrium Floyd took me to surgery right away. After being discharged from the hospital, I had therapy. I went back to the doctor 3 weeks and to get 96 surgical stitches out and was told there was nothing they could do. They couldn’t find a pulse and all the nerves in my foot was damaged beyond repair.

I’m asking for any help. It will go toward medical equipment and to help with my prosthetic.

UPDATE: I discharged from Floyd on 2/29/2024. I’m home recovering. It’s been a little rocky adjusting to the simple things but I am grateful for life itself! Thank you all for all the love and support!
