Jessica Norton Family Fundraiser

Jessica's story: This fundraiser is to benefit the Jessica Norton Family to help pay for Jessica's final expenses and household expenses as the family transitions to a single-income household. Any remaining funds will be saved for Maddie's education. Jessica Norton, 37, died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on April 23, 2023. She is survived by the love of her life, soul mate, high school sweetheart and loving husband Justin and her cherished daughter Maddie.

The courtship between Justin and Jessica began as teenagers at Seward Family Restaurant where they both worked. They married in 2007 and the couple struggled to start a family. They soon filled their home with rescued dogs. Jessica was particularly fond of pugs. Jessica and Justin are long-time supporters of Green Mountain Pug Rescue. Their prayers were answered the day they found out they were expecting their beautiful daughter Maddie. Maddie was their miracle baby and Justin and Jessica could not have been more adoring parents. The happiness over the birth of their daughter was challenged by Jessica's diagnosis of breast cancer. Jessica would face this challenge head-on with constant support from Justin, their extended family and friends and the motivation to be the very best Mom she could be to her princess, baby Maddie. It was not an easy road, but she conquered her illness and most recently celebrated 6 years cancer free! Jessica celebrated life making the most of every opportunity to spend time with her family and plan outings and activities making lasting memories.

Jessica worked long hours at Hannaford Supermarket for over 20 years with very early morning shifts and weekends. She was proud of her work but hated "missing out" on family time or Maddie's many activities. Jessica was very close to Justin's family, her Dad and her very best friend in the world, her Mom. Jessica served her community as Clerk to the Barstow School Board and the Barstow Unified Union District Clerk. She was first in line to help those in need, to donate to a school function, volunteer or assist a fellow family with playdates and rides.

Now it is Jessica's family that needs the help of family, friends and the generosity of those that wish to help this devastated family cope and move forward without their beloved wife and mother.

My name is Sara Tully and Jessica was my very close and dear "Mom friend". I met her when our daughters started preschool together and we looked forward to the girls attending the next 7 years of school together and possibly into highschool. This sudden loss is truly unimaginable to everyone who knew and loved her.
