Help Jessica Pay Her Hospital Bill

Hi! My name is Jessica and I'm a single mom and sign language interpreter out of Tampa, FL. On Saturday, April 15, I was interpreting an event with some friends and had a terrible headache; fast-forward a few hours and I was walking into the emergency room. I couldn't understand what people were signing to me, and the words I was trying to speak weren't coming out right.

After running some tests, I was admitted to Neurological ICU for an arterial blood clot that was cutting off the blood supply to my brain. This blood clot developed after the inner lining of the artery became damaged, and it is currently sitting at the bottom of my brain.

While in ICU, I was seen by a phenomenal team of doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other support staff. After I was stabilized with the proper medication, I was sent home to recover for the next 3 months. My treatment plan involves lots of physical restrictions, a reduction in the amount of work I can take, taking a very expensive medication twice daily and returning for more CT and MRI imaging. If the blood clot is gone and the artery has healed, then my story has a happy ending! However, there is a high likelihood that I will require complex surgery in the next few months.
