Jessica Pierson

This is Jessica Pierson, a 33 year old woman with a kind heart, bright smile, and contagious laugh. She is a mother of two boys ages 4 & 3 and is currently 24 weeks pregnant. Six weeks ago, Jessica began to experience some unusual symptoms. After hospitalizations, testing, and surgery; she received a devastating diagnosis of Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer. During the three weeks of testing her tumor doubled in size. She is suffering from multiple neurological symptoms such as extreme fatigue, extreme muscle weakness including facial drooping, loss of function of her right arm and hand as well as progressive weakness in her right leg making it difficult to walk. Jessica is also experiencing challenges in communicating associated with Aphasia. Jessica started radiation treatment this week and her doctors are recommending that she deliver the baby in the next few weeks. The baby will most likely be less than 26 gestational weeks and will require NICU care for several months. After she delivers her baby, she can begin chemotherapy and hopefully other treatments. We are asking that you please support Jessica as she is facing an uncertain future and mounting medical bills for her care and the care of her soon to be born child. Funds will be used to pay medical bills, living expenses, and care for herself and her children.
