Jessica Verburg battle leukemia

This fundraiser is to help Jessica Verburg and her family as she gears up to battle her recent diagnosis of Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

As many know, Jessica is a loved nurse practitioner at North Oaks Pediatric clinic. She has helped heal so many little ones in her time, and now it’s time we give back to help her heal.

Jessica, her husband Hoyt, and her three children, Wyatt, Hale, and Lily are in need of our prayers and love right now. As she keeps us updated via Facebook, we have learned that she will most likely be inpatient at MD Andersons in Houston, Texas for quite some time. Unfortunately this will be an uphill battle, but one we are sure Jessica is ready to climb!

Jessica is one of the strongest women many have the pleasure of knowing. If you’ve met her even once, I’m sure she has made you smile, laugh, or at least roll your eyes at her sarcastic wit. Her humor has kept her going thus far. Her strength will keep her strong, but it is us, as a community of friends that are needed now to help her get through this journey. Jessica is the last person to take a handout. She is a prideful, resourceful, and relentless woman. But this fundraiser is not about just her now, this is about her family. About keeping things easy, steadfast, and helping them adapt to this new temporary way of life.

We want to help raise money for not only the insurmountable medical bills, that are surely already starting to pile up, but to raise money to help with the financial strain anyone going through this battle faces. This fundraiser is to allow us to let Jessica lean on us for once. To give back what she has given to many. We humbly ask for any donations, prayers, or thoughts you and your family are able to give.

We know Jessica can fight this. We know Jessica can beat this!! Let’s show her how much we believe in her by helping carry her and her family through this.
