Jessica & Tommy

Welcome friends and family! Thank you for taking the time to hear the story of my little sister, Jessica, and her fight to keep her son, Tommy.
In 2012, Jessica made the courageous decision to leave her husband. As a stay-at-home mom, she did not have any money but she knew that she needed to leave if she was going to provide a better life for herself and her son, Tommy. In the divorce proceedings, her ex-husband agreed to a custody arrangement where Jessica would be the primary caregiver. My family and I have supported Jessica throughout this journey, providing her with a place to stay and helping with her legal fees. After the divorce was finalized, we hoped that she could begin to build a new life with her son built on love, happiness, and faith.
Two years ago, Jessica's ex-husband decided to sue her for full custody of Tommy. And while I cannot go into specific details about the lawsuit, I can say that false claims were made against her and therefore a lengthy and costly lawsuit followed. We are now four weeks away from her court date, and our legal funds are almost depleted. We are hoping to raise $5000 by May 5th so that Jessica will be able to continue to fight for her son.
Those of you who know Jessica know that she is a sweet spirit. She has overcome so much adversity in her life and almost always with a smile on her face. These past few years have been very difficult on her emotionally and instead of giving up, she has chosen to keep that positive outlook on life. A few months ago she began running to help alleviate all the stress of the lawsuit. She is continuously looking for ways to help her stay positive so she can be the best mother she can be to Tommy.
All the money raised here will be used to offset the financial burden of this lawsuit. Please help us support Jessica so that she and Tommy can continue to thrive together. My family and I extend our greatest gratitude to you. All our love, the Knox Family.
