Jessica's Cancer Treatment Fund

My name is Christina and my sister Jessica Barnes-Najor is undergoing Thyroid Cancer treatment at MD Anderson in Texas.  Doctors found her cancer in April and she had a major neck disection to remove the thyroid gland and several lymph nodes that the cancer had spread to.  Unfortunately pathology reports came back with two types of thyroid cancer present and it seems to be very fast growing.   At her innitial appointment with MD Anderson in September, they did an ultra sound, and already found 2 nodules growing back in Jessica's thyroid bed.  Jessica is now going to have Radioactive Iodine Treament to kill all the remaining cancer cells.  Because she has a 4 year old son she can't be around him during this treatment as she will be radioactive for at least 3 weeks.  Emotionally this is a very hard time for her and her sweet little boy.  I will be helping her husband Chris take care of Ari while Jessica is in Texas with her close friend Lorraine.  We are so thankful for Lorraine's help during this difficult time.  

Jessica could really use your financial support during this time.  She is one of the most generous people I've ever known and now she's the one that needs help.  She would use this money to pay off the credit card charges she's going to incur during her 3 weeks away from home.   It will help her pay for the plane ticket to Houston and back to Michigan as well as the apartment she is going to have to stay in while in Houston.
