Jessie Brown Could Use Our Help

Hi, my name is Teresa Sager and I am starting a go fund me account for my dear, sweet friend, Jessie Brown.

Back in March, Jessie was living a good life--She had been offered a new job with WPAFB, making quite a bit more money, but the very next day, that all changed. Within 12 hours of giving her notice at Pepsi, she received a call from her doctor's office telling her she need to come in right away.

She was told her cancer markers were high and more testing needed to be done. She had to go immediately to have a CT scan and then because they found a pulmonary embulism in her lung, she was called as soon as she got home and was sent to another hospital to have more CT scans for her lungs since the primary focus had been her abdomen.

After the chest CT scan was run, they found there was evidence of cancer and she was sent immediately to Kettering to take care of the embulism and run more tests for the cancer(s).

She was kept in the hospital for 6 days, having a multitude of tests done.

She was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Not anything any of us wanted to hear.

When she went to her first oncology appointment, we were all surprised to find that chemo would be starting then.

This whole journey has been a nightmare.

Jessie's family which had been living on two incomes was reduced to one. She was unable to continue with her new job due to the physical limitations caused by her treatments. She had to sign up for COBRA which isn't cheap. AND the financial obligation of paying for medical treatments has presented a hardship that none of us want to imagine.

She is now feeling the financial strain.
