Hi, my name is Michael Main and I saw the below post by local reporter Amy Davis:

"91-year-old Jessie Lara is a #KoreanWar #navy #veteran… and he has a #waterleak in the home where he’s lived his whole life. His #houston #waterbill is now more than $5000 & growing every day because he can’t pay the thousands of dollars it will cost to dig up his water line and find the leak.

John Moore Services did check his whole home for leaks. They found one earlier this month and repaired it for free. But that didn’t stop the indicator dial on his water meter.

Today, we got Houston Public Works to replace his water meter just in case it had a problem. No luck. That dial is still spinning.

We also got Lara into the #VA so he can start receiving benefits. His first doctor’s appointment is in June. But I can’t quite figure out how to help with this leak. Posting here in case you have any ideas. #veteransupport"

There's a $4,000.00 quote to repair the line from his main to his house, and a current bill in excess of $5,000.00. Please help if you can. All funds raised will go to Mr. Lara.
