Jessie's Battle with Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
Two weeks ago I received some difficult and unexpected news. I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
It's hard to receive but I trust God for health and healing.
The treatment I will be receiving is at a center called Hope4Cancer in Cancún, Mexico. At the treatment center, they do Sono-Photo Dynamic therapy and Virotherapy. They also focus on immune health, detoxification, whole food nutrition, hydration, and energy balance in order to create an environment in which I may fully receive the treatments needed to let my immune system fight off the cancer naturally.
Instead of carrying traditional insurance, I am part of a Christian community that shares medical expenses called Samaritan Ministries. Samaritan Ministries will provide coverage for a portion of the cost of my treatment plan. However, there is also an upfront cost that is required upon my arrival and Samaritan’s will not be able to provide coverage until after treatment.
Your support will help with the upfront cost, fill in the gaps for medical expenses and offset living expenses while I am in treatment.
My sister, Colleen, and I will be traveling to the Hope4Cancer institute Monday, August 14th to start treatment promptly. Due to the nature of the cancer and the availability of the center we are thankful for the opportunity to be accepted into the program so quickly.
My hope is in the Lord to provide, but I also realize I have a wonderful community willing to fight this battle with me. Thank you for all of your wonderful prayers and support—The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. I am sorry if this is how you are finding out.
I am posting regular updates to CaringBridge.org
Blessings,
Jessie
