Jessie’s Medical Journey

Hi! My names Aaron. I’m Jessie’s employer, and long time friend.

For anyone that doesn’t know, Jessie got some unfortunate news a couple months ago.

Jessie had been getting some headaches, so his wife Diane convinced him to go get checked out. The results he got weren’t what anyone would hope for: Not one, but two brain tumours.

Over the last little while, Jessie has been going in for appointments to try and arrange a game plan for treatment. On his last appointment the doctor informed him that they should try and get the first of the two tumours removed ASAP. Jessie got the call today, and he now has to go in for surgery in just over a weeks time to get the first (more serious) tumour removed. His expected recovery time is 8 weeks. The second one will be monitored and removed at a later date.

For anyone that knows Jessie, this isn’t his first medical battle. Back in 1999 at 15 years old, Jessie was diagnosed with cancer. He had to undergo chemotherapy and a serious surgery to remove a tumour from his upper spine. He recovered and went on to be cancer free ever since. With some prayers and support, I’m sure he’ll tackle this medical journey as well.

Jessie has worked for me for over 5 years. He has always been the first to help out, whether it be cleaning the shop, or picking up an extra shift here and there. The guy would never ask for a favor in return. He just puts his head down and gets the job done. Although he’s quiet and hard to catch smiling (hahah I had to) he’s always a pleasure to be around. Anyone that knows Jessie, knows this to be true.

So I’m setting this up today to help offer some financial relief for Jessie and Diane. Medical trips and lost wages add up.
