Hawkins Lease Service along with Jessie Vasquez and his family would like to request your help in supporting his needs.
Jessie went in to get a check up on March 12th at his wife’s request. There were some subtle signs that Jessie was just not quite himself, most notably some disorientation and short term memory loss. The Dr. had suggested running some tests and X-rays. After reviewing the initial tests, it was advised that Jessie stay and get further tests and scans. A tumor was discovered in his brain. The surgeon met with the family that evening to stress the severity and express that the tumor will require immediate removal. The tumor is positioned around the optic nerve and has to be removed as soon as possible. Jessie Vasquez is currently medically unable to work. The cost of the treatments and the down time from work have Mr. Vasquez in an immediate need of assistance.
Jessie Vasquez has worked in the oilfield for over 30 years. He has worked for over 25 years at Hawkins Lease Service. Jessie has always been a dedicated and hard worker. He is the 1st person to pick up the phone if a call comes in after hours and is a constant positive force in any crew or work environment. Jessie was born and raised in the oilfields of Luling, Texas and moved to Alvin, Texas to work in the Hastings oilfield in the early 1980’s. He has worked his way up from rough neck to labor foreman and acquired specialized skills related to production and pipeline services. He is specifically requested by customers and company managers when tough or complicated tasks are at hand.
Jessie is married and has three daughters. He has always gone out of his way to ensure time is devoted to his family while managing the demands of a career in the oil and gas industry. Jessie has made friends everywhere he goes and has support from his community, but faces an immediate need to help him with expenses.
