Jess's Cancer Fundraiser

Hello Everyone,

First and foremost, we're completely blown away by the support and love from everyone! Because we reached the max donation of $20,000 for our previous fundraiser, we opened up another with no limit. Words cannot express our gratitude, thank you all so very much.

Jess's Story

Jess was diagnosed with spinal sarcoma 5 weeks ago and is currently undergoing treatment at Mayo in Rochester MN. The team is approaching it with curative intent, which consists of 30 weeks of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation, followed by extensive spinal surgery. We have set up this fundraising page to help offset Jess’s expenses while undergoing treatment for cancer. Unfortunately, Jess has had to put her career on hold while undergoing chemo and being immunocompromised, in addition to extreme pain and other factors. Jess is also unable to collect short or long-term disability. For these reasons, she doesn’t have a source of income, and won’t until she’s recovered from treatment and surgery (likely in 9-12 months).

Her expenses include health insurance COBRA premiums, deductible, out of pocket max and copays, food, gas, housing (on location in Rochester), various chemo related supplies, and the list goes on.

As an emergency medicine physician, Jess has dedicated her life to helping people and saving lives. Jess was a resident in New York during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and an EMS fellow in Virginia. Once she beats this cancer, she will continue with that mission as an attending physician in Minnesota. Let's rally around her as she fights this battle over the next year!
