On July 28, 2021 the life of Jesselyn Silva and her family changed forever. Over the couple weeks before, Jesselyn had been experiencing some issues with her eye sight. First thought, was to take her to the eye doctor, so they did. The eye doctor saw something while looking at her eye and suggested they go to the ER for a CT SCAN same day. During the scan (results take a couple weeks), the doctor explained to them that there was a mass and they would have to perform surgery to drain fluid & relieve pressure on her brain. On August 9, 2021, the doctor delivered the results. Diffuse Midline Glioma a.k.a. Glioblastoma, a non-curable aggressive form of cancer that affects the brain and/or spine. This is what we are up against.

Jesselyn Silva is a smart, inspiring, driven, humble, respectful (the list can go) 15yr old girl from Bergenfield, NJ. She enjoys the same activities as most 15yr old girls, biking, hanging out with her brother & friends and exercising. There is however, another side to her. She is also a honor student, has written her own memoir “My Corner Of The Ring”, is a 2x Boxing National Champion & is ranked #1 in two different weight class’. From her first step into the ring at age 7, Jesselyn has voluntarily dedicated herself to the craft that she grew to love. She has built her confidence through experience, hard work and faith in God. Every goal she has set for herself, she has accomplished, with the exception of the participating at the 2024 Olympic games & following the dreaming of being a professional boxer. If you have never had the privilege to meet Jesselyn, these goals may seem unreachable, but to put it very simple, Jesselyn has “IT”. The Kobe, ALI & MJ “IT”. The power to shine light in a dark room, the ability to inspire without effort, the patience to listen to & absorb knowledge and do it all in a way that you just know is genuine. Now with the support of her family, she has stepped into the ring with all her qualities and training to fight the biggest fight of her life.

On behalf of the Silva family, we humbly ask for your prayers, positive energy & love. Additionally, we would be forever grateful for any and all you are able to give. Our goal would be to allow Jesselyn & her family the financial flexibility to focus on the fight ahead. Again, we FIRST ask for prayers full of faith (Mathew 8:23 Mathew 9:20). For it is through their faith in Jesus that their healing has already begun and will be done, in Jesus’ name. What ever the enemy uses for evil we believe God will use for GOOD! Jesselyns’ journey will be a living testimony for the whole world to witness the power of faith. Turning non believers to believers & believers to true followers of GOD. Regardless of what the eyes see, we walk side by side in FAITH not by sight.
