Jethro’s road home
Donation protected
Update:
Well it’s safe to say Jethro knew we got him back to the lake. Around 3 this morning he decided it was time to leave us to be with his family in the sky. Our family is very grateful for all of the thoughts, prayers and generosity. Dad was loved by so many and he loved you all back.
Update:
This is not the update I was hoping to post. We are no longer fundraising for his recovery, it seems as though Jethro is taking a turn in the direction we hoped would never happen. We are now just trying to keep him as comfortable as possible for the rest of the time that he has with us. All donations will be used for his end of life care and everything that follows that. We appreciate all of your generosity and prayers for the family and for now we just need our privacy to navigate where we go from here
Hi everybody, we’re writing on behalf of our father Jeffrey DeVoe or as many of you know him Jethro. Jeff has always been the life of the party and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. However, he recently suffered a series of unexpected illnesses, stemming from his stage four cancer and has landed himself in Albany Medical Center for quite some time now. Throughout the experience, he’s been keeping his spirits up, but being laid up in a hospital bed inevitably means he has been unable to work (which oddly enough has always been one of his favorite things to do).
Unfortunately, recovery comes at a cost and the bills are starting to roll in. We don’t want him focusing on anything other than improving his health, so we’re asking for your help. We just want him to be able to get back home where he can relax with his fiancé and their dog and fish off his dock (his other favorite things to do) without having to worry about how he’s going to cover his bills when they come. Anything you can spare, even just sharing his story, will help tremendously.
Thank you everyone. We appreciate anything you can do during this time.
