Help Pay For Puppy’s Life Saving Surgery!
Donation protected
Hey there! This is Jet. He's a young pup who faced a serious medical condition and needed life saving surgery. He is now in recovery!!
All donations and future donations will be given to 5 Mile Animal Hospial or you can call and donate directly.
I want thank everyone who has donated and shared from the bottom of my heart.
Vets/hospitals only accept payments in full before performing any kind of surgery. However I could not afford this and it was an urgent matter. I called every emergency vet within 100 miles. I was starting to realize that euthanizing was my only option… until I got a call back from an amazing veterinarian. Dr. Mina Abdelmalek saved Jet’s life! He said that he couldn’t put a dog down knowing he could have saved him. He took him in that same day and performed the surgery.
It was originally suspected that Jet had GDV but upon surgery it was discovered that he had a blockage. They performed this very major surgery with the faith that I, a complete stranger, would pay them back.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in helping. If you can’t donate please share!
Thank you again.

Saturday Jan 4th around 4pm Jet threw up his breakfast. I withheld dinner believing he had an upset stomach. Sunday he had no interest in any food and couldn’t keep down any water. I took him to the emergency vet on Monday. They gave him fluids and an x-ray, suspecting a blockage but nothing showed up. They sent him home with anti nausea medication and something to help imaging on the x-ray. We returned Tuesday for another x-ray but nothing suspicious was showing, except that all food/medicine that was forced was sitting in his stomach hours after ingestion. They said he might have GDV (twisted stomach) but wouldn’t know the cause 100% until surgery was performed. The ER vet said surgery was the only option. There are no Vets in my area willing to perform surgery without the full payment upfront. Unfortunately I don’t have the extra funds on my own and I maxed out my care credit trying to find a diagnosis. My only other option is euthanasia. We don’t want to lose our family dog after only 122 days of loving him. Thank you for reading.

He has lost a considerable amount of weight in such a short time of not being able to eat.
