Support Elizabeth Ferguson's healing and recovery.

On September 12, our mother, Elizabeth Ferguson, was violently attacked while out for a lunchtime walk in downtown Dallas. The story of her attack was so shocking it made local headlines and national news. From the trauma ER, she underwent emergency facial reconstruction surgery and spent days in the trauma ICU. The photo above was taken on September 13. She has been healing with the aid of doctors and therapists and has made a lot of progress. After 6 weeks of difficult recovery, she is still unable to resume her previous life because of the severity of the concussion and aftereffects of the attack.

Our mom desires nothing more than a return to work and to normality. She is on medical leave, but employer-paid time off has been exhausted. Insurance is covering many of the medical bills but not all, and assistance is necessary to continue ongoing treatments for post-concussive recovery and help with living expenses. Mom feels blessed to have family and friends rallying around her with support through this GoFundMe during her evolving medical care.
