Miguel Delos Santos, Victim Police Excessive Force

In the evening of April 23, 2021, in the South Central neighborhood of Los Angeles, Miguel Delos Santos, a 27-year-old Filipino American was shot multiple times and nearly killed by LA County Sheriffs responding to the mental health intervention request by his fiancé who was concerned he was going to hurt himself.

Miguel was rushed to St. Francis Medical Center, underwent several surgeries, and was in ICU for nearly a week. Several critical vital organs were damaged from the shooting. Miguel remains confined in hospital undergoing treatment and therapy with full recovery uncertain.

Friends of the family have set up this GoFundMe page to solicit funds to help defray the cost of his medical and other needs.
