Stem cell treatment for MS
Donation protected
Hi everybody. I have thought about doing this a few times but I’ve always stopped myself due to the idea that I will beat this and improve…….that hasn’t happened yet. I was diagnosed with MS in 2023. To say it’s been a roller coaster is an understatement. Unfortunately for me my main symptom is mobility issues, I struggle to walk due to my leg weakness from a lesion in my spine. I have 20 - 30 lesions in my brain and spine from demyelination. My immune system is attacking my nerves. HSCT (stem cell treatment) has been shown to completely halt the progression of MS in 73% of cases. That’s pretty good odds!! Trials are happening in Australia but unfortunately I don’t qualify because I haven’t been living with the disease long enough….or rather I haven’t been diagnosed long enough. A hospital in India has been very successful in helping people with MS. I am a school teacher, still working full time, as hard as it is every day I give my all….just wanting to do the job I love and setting up my life before things take an unexpected turn like this diagnosis. I cannot afford to go to India for life changing treatment on a teacher salary….thats where I am hoping for generosity of family, friends and strangers. Thank you in advance ❤️. Friends please share.
