Ali's medical & survival fund

Hi everyone,

My name is Rasha and I am writing to request your help for Ali and his family. If any of you knows them personally, you would know that they are the sweetest, most kind-hearted people you'll ever meet. You might also know that Ali's family has been struggling lately because of an unforeseen event.

When Ali was born on December 8th, 2016, he looked beautiful and normal, just like any ordinary baby. He was born when his family was visiting from Egypt (so they paid all the hospital expenses) and they were planning to go back home on February 2nd, 2017.

Unfortunately within couple of weeks, Ali started to look jaundice (a medical condition associated with the yellowing of the skin), so his pediatrician ordered some labs, then an ultra sound and a liver biopsy. Ali was diagnosed with a rare liver disorder called Biliary Atresia, which only occurs in 1 out of every 20,000 babies.

He was immediately hospitalized, but he kept getting worse as other health problems began arising, and his tiny body started giving up. But the gift of life was given back to him when he underwent a liver transplant on June 20th, 2017.

Now Ali has to stay in USA for at least two years after the transplant to be closely monitored by his doctors, which makes it impossible for him to go back home to Egypt. Due to the circumstances, the tourist visa was extended for his family, but unfortunately with no authorization to work.

Ali's family has been doing everything in their power to keep him alive and pay for his medical expenses, including selling their home and cars in Egypt, and using all their life savings. Needless to say, Ali's family is devastated and overwhelmed from the tragedy that dramatically changed the lives of his parents, and his 2 siblings, 4 year old Farah, and 2 year old Omar.

This account has been established to raise funds to help this family who are financially totally drained , but yet they have to survive another 2 years of accommodations in USA (Rent, food and utilities) until Ali is able to travel safely back home.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for keeping Ali and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
