On Saturday, April 15th 4 lives were lost in a deadly collision on the Schuylkill Expressway in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after one car had crossed several lanes of traffic and struck another vehicle. Those victims were Michael Comerford (24; Center of the Picture), Tucker Schimelfenig (23; Left in the Picture), and Christian Schimelfenig (23; Right in the Picture). We wish to aid the families in their time of grieving and assist in any way that we can.
This life-altering event has left many in a state of disbelief that these three individuals, with their whole lives ahead of them, were taken this soon. When faced with events like this the theme of mortality becomes evident and really makes you think about how short life truly is.
Although this event has left many in a state of despair, the families of the affected will never be the same. Unfortunately, no one person can repair the scars that have been left by such a horrendous event. In an effort to show support and solidarity with the families affected, we are orchestrating this fundraiser to help cover the costs associated with the funeral services and any other financial burdens that may be put upon the families affected.
We understand that this will never truly fill the void left by the infectious smiles of Tucker, Christian, and Michael, but we hope that it will show the families that there is a vast support system available to them in their time of need. Anything helps while we mourn the loss of our friends and family in this time of vulnerability and tragedy.
100% of the donations collected will be given to the Schimelfenig and Comerford families.
If anyone has any kind of messages or memories that they would like to share please reach out to us and we can incorporate them on this page. Thank you all for your time and I hope we can all collectively help the victim’s families get one step closer to peace and get through this tough time.
