Our five month-old son, Taylor Iroe, was born with severe dilation of the left kidney. At two months old, Taylor underwent surgery to correct a UPJ obstruction (blockage caused by a narrowing of the area between the ureter and kidney) to prevent further damage and hopefully improve kidney function.
The surgery was successful, but unfortunately Taylor later developed a kidney infection. On June 5th, we took him to the ER in Bend. Bloodwork showed that his electrolyte levels were critical and potentially life-threatening. Taylor was then life-flighted in the middle of the night to the Pediatric ICU at Randall Children's Hospital in Portland. Thanks to an amazing team of specialists, Taylor's electrolyte levels normalized within days. He is back to his happy self and doing great.
We are so thankful to God for continued healing of Taylor's kidney. Tim is currently our sole source of income as I (Elise) am taking care of Taylor at home. Between numerous kidney tests and scans, appointments and surgery in Portland, and being life-flighted from Bend, we are left with very large medical bills even after health insurance. We would appreciate any financial assistance during this difficult time as well as continued prayer for Taylor's health.
Much Love,
Elise, Tim and Taylor
