Andy's Memorial

On Monday 22nd August our beloved Husband, Father, Uncle, Nephew, Brother and Friend Micheal Andrew Stanley Lowe (Ando) attempted to take his own life. Five incredibly painful days later his body finally gave out and he truly left us.

Over the past few years Andy had been suffering with his mental health and losing both parents in relatively quick succession not only added to his depression and anxiety, but it offered him a way to talk about what he wanted, come his time to leave us... who knew it would be so soon!

After much thought and soul searching Andy decided he wanted his ashes sent to space, initially we discussed fireworks, but somehow that didn't quite seem the right fit. Bonfire night would set off his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and neither the dog nor our girls like fireworks.

Searching around I found Aura flights (see the video above). Following the gentle ascension to the edge of space his ashes would be released within the outer atmosphere, eventually surrounding the whole earth before gently raining back down on all corners of the globe. This means a tiny part of him will be everywhere we could possibly have gone!

I think it's important for all of our mental health, for all of us he leaves behind, that Andy gets his final wishes. A big part of Andy's struggle was that he just couldn't see how much he was loved ❤️! Oh boy have I felt how much he was loved and cared for since he's gone. So please, if you can spare anything at all to make Andys wish come true, to show him how much he was loved, and to show your support for his family, it would be more appreciated than we can possibly express.
