Rescue Animal Medical Fund

I have been working with animal rescue for over 6 years and take many dogs with medical issues that would be euthanized if not rescued. I am an independent rescuer that works with many 501 c 3 rescues that
adopt out my rescues,  and over the years I have rescued and cared for thousands of dogs that I have rescued from local shelters. I do not generate any income from what I do, and spend lots of my personal money to help these animals get a second chance. I no longer work at a paying job and rescue takes up all of my time and loys of my personal money.  Recently I've taken in many medical animals and I need help in order to save them! 

Rescue #1 for the past week is Athena, who is a very sweet and beautiful female German Shepard. I found her in the shelter veterinary hospital with an injury to her back leg and her owners never came looking for her.  I knew her injury would likely require surgery but she was going to be euthanized so I agreed to take her.  Yesterday I took her in for x rays and indeed her hip is dislocated and she needs an FHO done which cuts off the "ball" of her femur which fits into the pelvis. Because she is such a big girl ( 80 pounds) makes her recovery much more difficult because of her weight. The cost for this surgery is going to be around $1500 and so far I have received about $500 toward her surgery. Time is of the essence for getting her surgery done before to much time goes in order for it to be successful. 

Rescue #2 for this week is Rosie, a sweet young little female pitbull with a severe case of mange. Her skin is so bad she has a secondary skin infection and  also has kennel cough so she is currently receiving 2 antibiotics, medication to kill the mange mites and a special medicated shampoo, and she also will need to be spayed once recovered. 

Rescue #3 for the week that I should be getting on Monday is another injured dog ( a poodle) ,  that is in the shelter hospital with a back leg injury and hopefully doesn't also need surgery...  I will update on this one as I know more.
