Jill Adams, the widow of Jeff Adams

This page is dedicated to William Jeffrey Adams (Jeff). He was born on July 9, 1963, and died so young, and quite suddenly, on December 3, 2023. Jeff was an amazing man who touched many hearts. He passed before much of his work could be done.

The love of his life was his first true love: Jill. She became his wife, and they were married for more than twenty something years. Jeff’s passion, articulated and demonstrated frequently, was to ensure Jill had a good life.

Unfortunately, death doesn’t wait for us to meet all of our goals. Jeff became sick a few days before Thanksgiving with flu-like symptoms. Just over a week later, after difficulty breathing, and continuing to struggle with his illness, he succumbed quite suddenly to his condition. Medical efforts were initially successful, but not enough.

Meanwhile, his dear wife was, and currently is, struggling with her own very serious medical conditions. So serious, in fact, she is incapacitated and unable to perform any gainful work. She continues to undergo medical treatments while grieving her husband’s death. We are optimistic she will make a full recovery, but it is clear, it will take some time.

Jeff and Jill have always been hard workers and like many must consistently strive just to make ends meet. It is not my intention to embarrass my sister-in-law in requesting donations for her assistance. This could happen to anyone, and dire circumstances require extraordinary efforts.

Jeff and Jill shared a passion for cats. They would take in any cat needing food, shelter, or just love. Five wonderful cats make up their family. Jill has insufficient savings, no stable income, and is wholly dependent upon Jeff’s family for support, as her family is estranged.

Her family on her husband’s side is deeply concerned that Jill may lose her home, since her income is now more than halved, with the assumption that she rejoins the workforce. Her home has been in Jeff’s family since 1926.

I am Jeff’s sister, Stephanie. I am also known as “Stevie”. While enduring my own grief, I know Jeff wanted the best for his wife, and it is with this in mind that I have set up an account at a local Wells Fargo bank on behalf of Jill Adams. She will receive all net proceeds from this fundraising endeavor.

I recognize it is the holiday season and giving donations may be difficult for many. I am optimistic that during the season of giving, Jill can receive a Christmas miracle.
