Jill and Justin Stahnke

Justin went to the doctor and was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs on December 20, 2018, after getting out of breath while using the stairs at home. He was given an antibiotic and was told that he should start feeling better in 2 days. By the third day things started to get worse and he could barely walk to the next room.  Jill, his wife, took him to the ER on December 23rd and they said his oxygen levels were so low he needed to be admitted to the ICU and put on oxygen immediately.  After a couple of days they found an antibiotic that seemed to start helping, but on New Years Day he suffered a spontaneous collapsed lung on his right side. He then had a chest pump inserted to keep his lung inflated. It was then determined the lung had developed a tear from it collapsing. His doctors said it just needed time to heal. 

He had another set back a few days later when his pump clogged and he couldn't breathe, back to the ICU he went.  The tear finally healed on January 19, 2019 and his chest pump was removed. 

He was released from the hospital on January 21, 2019. He is now home and on oxygen until further notice.   Unfortunately, Justin's job is based in PA where they are not required to pay into temporary disability. He’s not eligible to collect any temporary disability.  

Justin is a loving husband and father and also the sole provider for their family. Jill is a stay-at-home mom for two little boys, ages 3 and 1.  They are doing everything in their power to get Justin healthy and return to work. However, the income has stopped and between their medical bills, recovery and cost of living they are in a desperate situation.  Please consider helping in away you can.
