Jill Bates-Moore Medical Expenses

My name is Matt Birkhold and I have known and loved Jill and Marcus for over twenty years. For the last few months Jill has experienced some heart and breathing problems and received surgery a little over a month ago. After her surgery, Jill began to recover so well that she attended a sewing retreat in North Carolina. In North Carolina, she experienced some breathing problems while driving and pulled over. She notified a friend of her location and was found unconscious before being transferred to Sentara Norfolk general hospital on March 8 where she has been in a coma since. She is being cared for in the best possible ways. She is surrounded by Marcus, her family, and other loved ones and friends. Other details about her care are not yet ready to be shared.

In the meantime, Marcus and Jill need your love, prayers, and financial support. Jill's hospitalization has created significant unplanned expenses. My friends need the support of their community and loved ones and I am asking you to donate whatever you can to cover medical expenses, insurance premiums, and to cover day-to-day expenses in a city where Jill and Marcus do not live.
