Jill Benoit's continued cancer help

October 10, 2018. i got news that i was not expecting to hear.  I was told i had cancer. I didn't cry,  i wasn't in shock.  The first word out of my mouth to my dr was "what do we need to do to get treat it?" The next thing i said was this cancer was big but my God is bigger.  I was not afraid.  I was going to be God's miracle & was going to show everyone what God can do!  The cancer I was diagnosed with was multiple myeloma(MM). Very rare form of cancer.  Current statistics show that only 2% of all cancers out the are MM.  The journey I have been on since this diagnoses has had many ups & downs. I've seen friends & family come & go.  Some not knowing what to do,  others helping wherever they can.  Day to day living has been challenging at times. This cancer is painful.  Bones hurt.  Spine hurts. Sometimes it hurts to walk,  stand, sit. Laying down helps some & pain meds help too. Most don't see the pain because i don't allow it.  I put on a mask. Cancer still scares a lot of people.  This cancer does not have a cure.  The medications scare people.  High dose steroids & daily chemo, pain meds. Daily meds suck. I'm tired of taking meds. These meds however are giving me a better quality of life than I would have without them.
I went into remission 6 months after diagnoses.  God's miracle.  Going into remission that quickly is not documented very often. I may never have a relapse, However, that is not likely with this type of cancer.
