Marley's story
As most of you know, I have been fostering dogs for the last six months. Marley is really special to me. He came to me in March, recovering from surgeries and abuse. He was such a scared doggie – no confidence and no trust in humans. After four months with me, he was fully restored to health and ready to travel to his “forever” home in Huntington, Massachusetts. Ryker and I were terribly sad to see him go.
Within two hours of his arrival in Huntington, Marley ran away into the nearby woods. Desperate to find him, his new owner called and asked me to fly up and help with the search. What could I say? I went. Our search started at 11 PM in the darkness of the ravine behind their house. Around 12:30 AM, he started howling in response to my calls. As I scrambled up toward him, I realized the local coyotes were responding as well. I believe that it was fate for me to help find him safely.

Marley was rescued from the "kill" list at the San Antonio shelter 4 months ago, and unfortunately has had some very expensive medical bills due to his past abusive life. He was shot in the foot by a previous owner, and had to have a toe amputated.
When he came to me he had to undergo another surgery to help the infection he had gotten in his foot.
I am trying to raise funds to support Marley's trip back to Austin to his "official" forever home with me, as well as support the rescue that has sponsored him, Addicus' Legacy Rescue, who funded all of his medical bills over the last few months.
Marley is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, and your donation will go towards continuing to rescue helpless dogs who were abused and abandoned.
Thank you in advance for your support--these innocent dogs are incredibly grateful for your love!!
