Jilly's Screw Cancer Campaign

Hello, my name is Josh Hasner. Husband and father to Jillian Hasner's children.

Over the past several months, Jill has had various health issues that has caused her constant pain. We've been from doctor to doctor to doctor, all of them either not sure what was the problem, or just guessing.

One day, she came home with her arm and part of her neck swollen. At this point, I decided it was time to visit the ER. At the ER, they found that she had several issues going on. Her thyroid was enlarged, over-active, and has small nodgules. They also found that her lymph nodes were enlarged, and via a CAT scan, that she had some mass growing in her. With the mass discovered, we finally had somewhat of a direction to go in now.

After a couple more visits to various doctors, a second CAT scan, and a biopsy performed, we now finally had a diagnosis after 3 months with her in pain.

On July 6th, during an appointment with an Oncologist, we were informed that Jill has Primary Mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. We were told that this is a very aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but is still very treatable, and more inportantly, curable.

The treatment prescribed will be chemothereapy. Starting around July 13th, she will begin treatment by being admitted to the hospital for 5 days, during which she will be treated, and then released home for the next 16 days. This process will happen about 8 times.

During this time, Jill will be understanably unable to work. This will leave us in a very financialy unstable spot.

Thankfully, we have an incredible friends and family support structure, that will be helping in anyway they can(transportation, meals, watching the kids, etc.), and we are incredibly gratefule to have that. A special shoutout to two great gals, and coworkers of Jills:

Erika on the left, and Devon in the middle

These two have been absolutely amazing both emotionally, but also in helping getting people together to help us.

We estimate that the $15,000 we are seeking will be just enough to ensure that we are able to stay on top of our month-to-month bills, as well as give us the ability to pay off all of our estimated medical expenses until the end of her treatments in December. If there is any extra money after we have paid of our bills, it will be donated either to another person or family in the same situation, or to some sort of cancer establishment/organization(TBD at a later time).

I ask that anyone that sees this, please, donate what ever you can. Every little bit will go along to ensuring our family will be OK during these troubled times. Everything and anything donated will mean the absolute world to us.

Thank you everyone.
