Jim and Ashlee Jarvis

Hi, my name is Jamie. I met Jim and Ashlee right after they got married. We became instant friends. Watching them be parents, is the cutest thing. I have started this GoFundMe to help Ashlee and Jim cover the cost of adopting Thomas.

Thomas was born on March 2nd, 2022, and Ashlee and Jim were contacted on March 4th to be his adoptive family. It was a phone call of a lifetime and completely unexpected. For them it was an answer to years of prayers to grow their family. They brought him home from the hospital the next day. Thomas has brought them so much joy! They adore and love him.

Right away they started the process for adopting him through the state of Kentucky. In August of that year they were approved by the home study agency. Thomas was five months old.

Heartbreakingly, on Sep 6th they received word that even though the home study agency approved them to adopt him, the Commonwealth of Kentucky DCBS denied the application for an Independent Adoption.

They were foster parents who had their home closed in 2018. They were given three things they had to do to become foster parents again, and they have since completed those three plus more.

This go fund me has a goal of $20,000 to help cover legal costs, additional home studies, background checks, lawyer's fees and more.

The Jarvis' are the only family that Thomas has known in his 15 months of life. Please help contribute to the raising financial cost as they fight to keep their son!
