Jim and Cindys accident relief
On January 3rd around 2:00 PM my parents and brother Michael were traveling south on the 86 by the Salton Sea around 60 miles an hour. Mom and Mike up front and my father in the rear when an uninsured driver pulled out in front of them from the center dividing median on the highway without looking and collided with them. Everyone is alive, my mom and Mike with minor injuries thanks to the air bags. My father suffered the worst injuries being in the back seat. He had 2 collapsed lungs, a dislocated thumb, broken sternum and ribs, a broken fibula, and broken ankle. Both my parents were life flighted from the accident to the trauma facilities at Desert Community Hospital where they are now. Both are stable and in the care of doctors. My father will be there for an extended stay and has surgery scheduled this week .
I have faith my father will be ok and return to some semblance of health in due time but currently I’m asking for anyone’s help to lighten the financial blow I’m certain will affect my parents and my family. I try not to ask for help and handle most things myself if I can, but this isn’t for me , and I’m not sure I could handle the coming responsibilities alone. Anything helps and I am thankful for you all. Keep my mom and pop in your thoughts and be sure you all buckle up. Much love friends and family.
