Updated: Jim and Martina Need Your Help
Donation protected
Hi. I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated to Jim and Martina’s Go Fund Me or shown love and support in so many other ways. I think we are all surprised that Jim is still with us. However, life hasn’t been easy. Jim continues to have end of life hallucinations that are exhausting for all parties. If you’ve never experienced these hallucinations, they can be scary and angry. And no one sleeps.
Jim is completely bound to his bed and Martina has finally found a wonderful home health assistant to come in weekly to help with toileting, bathing and bed changes. At this point in time she is relying on donations to her Go Fund Me as she has been able to work VERY LITTLE and is paying for the heath assistant out of pocket.
If you are able to donate, great. If not, no worries. Sending love, sharing laughter or sending memes is just as appreciated.
If you want to donate directly to avoid fees, Martina’s Venmo is @martina-fully
Thank you again
❤️ Laura
I'm writing on behalf of some of my favorite people on earth, Martina and her husband Jim. Martina is both a friend and a co-worker. This year has not been a celebratory one as it should have been. Unfortunately, Jim has Stage 4 Congestive Heart Failure and Stage 4 COPD. He may have days or months to live. He recently had to have his internal defibrillator turned off, which was keeping his heart pumping appropriately. It was shocking him continuously, and the pain was excruciating. Now that he doesn't have the defibrillator, it is only a matter of time.
Martina is his primary caregiver, and Jim needs round-the-clock care. She is out of sick days and does not qualify for the sick bank. Martina wants to spend as much time as possible with her love. She can't get this time back, and work should be the farthest from her mind. He needs costly personal care. Heading into the holiday season, I know Martina wants to be able to provide for her family.
Jim has an amazing family including; three lovely sisters, three daughters, two sons and 7 incredible grandchildren...all have been helping out when they can but the work load is extensive.
Your donations would help with personal care assistance and help with bills so that Martina can take this time to be with Jim without worrying about finances.
