Jim & Arlene Pifer

My name is Christa Klitsch and I have created this GoFundMe for James (affectionately known on Facebook as Mohawk Jim even though he does not even have an account) and Arlene Pifer – a couple whom I have known for a very long time. I became friends with their son Jimmy (he was a Detective with the Upper Gwynedd Police Department) who passed away in 2008 and also their son Brian who I am friends with to this day.

James and Arlene as well as the entire Pifer family have given decades of their time to the community in many different ways through Boy Scouts and Souderton Little League by volunteering and serving on the board. Jim was also an Army Veteran. Jim passed away on Monday June 12th. Now, Arlene is still facing medical and housing bills totaling tens of thousands of dollars due to Jim's hospitalizations and rehabs since October 12th. And now she has upcoming funeral costs.

Jim and Arlene have given the community so much of themselves through the years and now it's our turn to give back to them and show them how much they are loved and appreciated. They have instilled the importance of community in their boys and every person, they have had the pleasure of volunteering with or coaching, Jim and Arlene have literally touched thousands of lives.
