Jim Cheek now in home hospice - needs our support!

Hi, I'm Ruth Ann Whatley and I met my friend, Jim Cheek, over 30 years ago. He's a very sweet man and used to love visiting all the Christian singings when he lived in Georgia. He moved to Mississippi to be closer to his brother as his health started deteriorating.

He has heart disease, 2 heart attacks, 5 bypasses and now has heart failure. Also hypertension and COPD. He's been a real trooper but has declined so much this past year. He currently only weighs 105 lbs.

He's been making ends meet with a VA disability pension and he just started getting social security. But they cut his VA funds off. He just needs help with finances until his VA Pension situation can be resolved. An attorney and his Congressman are both working to get it restored.

Let's help one veteran get through the holiday season! Any contribution will help. Please consider any amount - it will all add up and he will be able to stay in his home and have food. I know I have so much to be thankful for this year. I want to help my friend so he won't have to worry and get sicker.
