Jim Cupit Memorial Fund

This page was created by the Early Childhood Education Community of Philadelphia in honor of our beloved colleague and friend, Jim Cupit. Jim passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jim was a dedicated servant to the children and families of Philadelphia. He spent his career as a teacher, instructional coach, and educational administrator devoted to providing positive and exemplary educational experiences for preschool children throughout the city. His work touched the lives of countless children, caregivers, teachers, and early childhood education advocates.

Jim was also a loving husband and father to his wife and three children. These funds will be sent to his family to help with the burden of this challenge as well as continue to support his children as they work through this unimaginable struggle.

We appreciate all the support and prayers as we all try and figure out how to navigate this difficult time.
