Hurricane Ian destroys Seven Seas Bait & tackle

Donation protected
As many islanders know Jim Frock has made Matlacha his home and ran a business next door for 27 years. Hurricane Ian cut through his bait shop and home and took out the road and demoslished Bert's bar on the way through. He lost everything and insurance will most likely not be enough to rebuild both buildings and restore the business operations. Jim is humble and cares deeply for the island and he isn't asking for help. He has been working non-stop aiding with delivery of supplies and transporting people from his small gheenoe. He has nothing left but his heart tells him to give more.
With uncertainty of the future I can only say that he hopes the land might accommodate camper and I know he wants to retire but he talks about a bigger skiff where he can work on the island even after its restored. Many folks offered clothing and supplies so he has no need for food or clothes at this time...just shelter and security. Thank you for anything you can offer.
