Jim Kauffman Memorial Scholarship
Tax deductible
Please Note Important Update:
Based upon input from the Capuchino High School administration, in order to make the award more meaningful to the recipient, we are excited to announce that we have increased the scholarship amount to $1,000!
Jim Kauffman - Capuchino High School class of 1967, sadly passed...way too early. We want to do something that will help this very special person be remembered, and also provide a positive message not only for and from Capuchino High School, but to reflect the love and caring that Jim cultivated during his time at Stanford University playing football, rugby and running track, his time at MacArthur Park Restaurant...a lovely Palo Alto fine dining fixture, and just simply his journey and travels through life!
Important updates: Our original goal was to raise enough to pre-fund an annual $500 scholarship for as many years as possible. The goal of this campaign is to raise $15,000, or 30 years of a $500 scholarship per year. On the advice of the Capuchino High School administration, in order to make the scholarship more meaningful to the recipient, we have now increased the scholarship amount to $1,000!
We want this scholarship to reward a student athlete who personifies what Jim Kauffman "brought to the table"! More than just a gifted athlete, Jim was a consummate student, leader, team player and someone who had the intangible and sincere ability to make those around him feel special, loved and cared about.
Please help us to bring this project to fruition!
Cheers!
Jerry & Mike
