Jim Meyer and Erin Meyer

It is with a heavy heart that I post this request. Our family needs some financial assistance and lots of prayers. Yesterday, 3/9/2024, Jim Meyer had an accident at a fire training. Jim was stuck by a falling tree. He was knocked unconscious and remained so for several minutes. He was taken to a hospital close to the location of the accident and due to the extent of his injuries, he was flown to another hospital that specializes in the medical treatment he needs.

Jim has a cracked vertebrae and skull fracture as well as bleeding between the skull and the brain. These are not minor injuries and Jim will have a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is expected to be in the ICU for 3-7 days, if not more, depending on his progress. He will be in a C-Colar for up to 12 weeks, if not more.

We are making this request for assistance to cover the medical costs and travel funds for Erin as the hospital is several hours away from their home.

Any assistance that you can give would be greatly appreciated. Jim and Erin are wonderful people. Always full of love and light. They are always giving love and encouragement to others and never ask for anything in return. Well, this is me asking. If you can help them with this request, it would mean so much to them.
