HELP WITH JIM PETERSEN’S RECOVERY
Navigating through 2020 has been full of challenges for so many. Unfortunately, things became even harder for our friends, the Petersens, after Jim had a stroke in October.
Jim has been fortunate to receive excellent medical care at Edward Hospital, MarianJoy Rehabilitation Hospital and now a subacute-care rehabilitation facility. With this excellent care and a lot of hard work, Jim is making progress but has a long road ahead of him. He's determined to walk again and return to work.
You may know Jim and his wife Jeanne as very devoted parents of Tyler, Mallory and Brandon. You may have met Jim as he proudly sat in the stands of so many football/baseball games, swim meets and water polo matches. We also know Jim to be one of the great neighbors who is always smiling and always willing to lend a helping hand. He's just an all-around great guy.
We've established this gofundme at the request of many who've asked to help. Funds raised will help with the extensive medical bills, continued rehabilitation and to help provide accessibility when he returns home and is unable to work. As a whole, their family is one that values privacy and is always more comfortable giving than receiving; so it is easy to understand how difficult this time is for them.
Many thanks to all who have helped and prayed for Jim and his family.
