“Tattoo” Jim Reilly (Funeral Expenses)

It is with a heavy heart as I write this reaching out to family, close friends and anyone else who was lucky to know “Tattoo Jim” Jim Reilly. On April 19, 2022 Jim suffered a severe stroke in early morning hours which has sadly left him with severe damage to his brain stem. Jim is currently on life support at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he will remain until his family and friends from afar are able to travel to him and say their final goodbyes.

As you all may know, Jim was a Loving Husband to Dawna Reilly, A father to her children, grandfather, a friend, and of course an outstanding Tattoo Artist. Jim also found great joy, pride and love for his Rottweilers, which he had many of over his years. Jim was a great friend, and was always willing to help anyone he was able to along his journey, always offering a helping hand or just someone to talk to and get some advice from. (Although, We couldn’t always take his advice and run with it…as it could have landed us in jail) but regardless, he always meant well. I know from personal experience, anytime I would stop by for a visit, Jim would always be full of life, smiling and so happy to see me. I know this was probably the case for anyone who knew him as well, (unless you were a doctor or nurse) he was just always so welcoming and his home always felt like home for anyone he cared about. Of course there’s so much more I could talk about, like how intimidating he could be, or how he liked to scare the crap out of me, how loud he was and of course his ability to get what he wanted when he wanted it haha! These were just more reasons to love him though, he was without a doubt One of a Kind.

Jim will be forever missed by so many, but he will especially be missed by his wife Dawna Reilly, and his (step) Son Tyler Saunders. With Jim’s health recently declining, it has been a financial struggle for Tyler to work, as he was home helping Dawna care for Jim 24/7. Everyday living expenses have been manageable along the way, but saving money has not been an option and now having to come up with the extra money for Jim’s Service-this is looking impossible for Dawna and Tyler. This is something that is adding stress to an already sad, and stressful situation.

Family, friends, and anyone who is able to help, we are asking for your donation and contribution to making Jim’s Farewell one to remember…but also more importantly for his cremation costs, and all the things that come along with honoring the loss of a loved one. Please help the Reilly family, as your help will be greatly appreciated. We will keep everyone posted on Jim’s Service, and all details to come along. Our biggest goal is earning enough money to have Jim’s ashes present at the service, a good chunk of money is needed for this and will be needed soon after Jim has passed.
