On the morning of December 26th James Rouse passed away in his sleep. He was loved by all who knew him and his absence from their lives will be profound and long lasting. He is survived by his three children - Lisa (Sam) Reier, Martin Rouse, and Alex Rouse.
Above all else, James was an amazing father and friend. He would do anything he could to support his children and help them accomplish their goals. He also selflessly dedicated his time and money to helping his ex-wife Donna, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. He went above and beyond what anyone could have asked to make the lives of Donna and their children the best they could be.
Jim "The Fireplace Man," as he was known about town, was an amazing man who was loved by everyone he met. He was active in the Otisco Lake Community, where he lived with his equally beloved dog Gunther. You couldn't go out to a bar or restaurant in the area without Jim running into friends and stopping to talk and have a beer. He was very much the same in the construction community around Syracuse. Many of the people he worked with always said they never went to a job site without running into someone Jim knows.
The unexpected loss of Jim has been tragic his family in so many ways and any contribution you can provide to help cover his final expenses and help his family get through this time is greatly appreciated.
