Jim Whitten Hurricane Ian Relief

Donation protected
The residents at Ocean Harbor are looking to assist Jim Whitten, Maintenance Supervisor, rebuild his home that was devastated by Hurricane Ian.

Jim Whitten has been a member of Ocean Harbor’s family for six years, working as Ocean Harbor’s maintenance supervisor. His Ocean Harbor anniversary is December 18 which is also his 45th wedding anniversary. Jim has always been willing to lend a hand to residents and renters alike. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to ask you to lend him a hand.

Jim and his wife Martha have lived in North Fort Myers for twenty years. Hurricane Ian destroyed their home. They were forced to evacuate, taking only themselves, their daughter and granddaughter and their pets. Jim said that they evacuated in the eye of the storm as the water came up fast. The car started to float but they made it to shallow water and took refuge at a friend’s house. They lost everything except some clothes and a few pictures. The house had to be gutted to prevent mold.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Martha fractured her L3 vertebrae. She is staying with a friend and will learn next week if she needs spinal surgery. Jim is at their house by himself.

Any support you can give Jim will be greatly appreciated. If you know others who might also be interested in helping Jim, please forward this to them.
